Build Mode Ep. 4 – When It All Goes Wrong (and Right)

“Ownwell Stats, Team Blueprint, and the Pivot After Losing Big”

What do you do when everything falls apart?

Episode 4 of Build Mode dropped a week or so ago, sorry for the late notice, I was on vacation ripping through the prairie roads of Saskatchewan. This episode I shot while I was taking a nature break with my dog out in the woods for a week and it starts on one of the hardest days I’ve had in a long time.

→ A $1.2M deal vanished.

→ Two key meetings cancelled.

→ A coaching client bailed before we even began.

All of these results on the same day…whoa.

Old programming kicked in fast—panic, shame, pressure to push harder. But something surprising happened…

I didn’t spiral.

I used my tools. And what came out of it was clarity, not chaos.

In this episode, I take you inside:

  • The mental pivot that saved the day

  • The actual Ownwell engagement stats from our first 500 clients. This is super interesting

  • How I’m building my internal team, my first hire and the structure, compensation, and strategy behind why to have a team.

  • A fresh market positioning moment after losing deals to rate

  • A quiet but powerful trail walk about unworthiness, ego, and emotional rewiring

This isn’t just an update. It’s a shift.

Episode five is in editing, I’ll be sure to get you notified sooner, once it drops, this time. This is where I reveal my new pitch that is 🔥 . In episode 4 I discuss how I pivot to open my mind to creativity to solve this problem of losing deals, episode 5 is the pitch that comes form that creativity and inspiration flowing through me.

Thank you for following this journey. If the episode hits home, I’d love for you to hit reply and let me know what landed.

We’re in Build Mode—together.

Greg
